Meet Shane
Shane came to us feeling like his smile was holding him back. With a vision of what was possible, Dr. Sergi Miralles developed a plan to transform his smile and, ultimately, his life. After receiving dental implants, Shane quickly regained his ability to eat and smile confidently.
Step One
Initial consultation
At Shane’s initial consultation, our team went through an extensive consultation process and discussed how his oral health was significantly impacting his quality of life.
Dr Sergi Miralles began the treatment planning process with a 3D Digital Smile Simulation to demonstrate the possibilities of Shane’s new smile and carefully devised a customised treatment plan to achieve this.
Step Two
Treatment
The first phase of treatment involved removing the remaining unsalvageable teeth and surgically placing dental implants. Shane had 6 implants placed in the upper and lower jaw to support full-arch tooth replacement, known as ‘All-on-X’.
These dental implants were immediately loaded, meaning Shane could eat, smile, and function normally within 24 hours following surgery and essentially ‘test-drive’ his new smile in the coming months as we allowed time for healing and implant integration.
Step Three
Final Prosthesis
Shane’s final restorative treatment outcome was an upper ‘All-on-6′ Zirconia bridge with a metal framework and a lower’ All-on-6′ Hybrid bridge, delivering a highly aesthetic dual arch oral rehabilitation.
Not only has this positively impacted Shane in many ways and restored his quality of life, but the real joy came when he proudly walked his daughter down the aisle – knowing his smile matched the moment.
