Patient Charter

The team at Dental Implants & Aesthetics would like to welcome you to our practice and thank you for choosing us as your dental provider. In aiming to provide the highest level of dental care, we ask for your cooperation and understanding in regards to the following:

ACCOUNTS – All accounts are to be paid at the time of your appointment. We accept cash, EFTPOS, MasterCard, and Visa. If you are in a health fund we are able to process your claim through our HICAPS system on the day of your appointment. In the event where your overdue account is referred to a collection agency and/or law firm, you will be liable for all costs which would be incurred as if the debt is collected in full.

CANCELLATIONS – Our practice would appreciate to receive more than 48 hours’ notice when cancelling an appointment. We will endeavour to be accommodating to the best of our abilities in this situation.
If you cancel your appointment with less than 48 hours’ notice or fail to attend your appointment for reasons out of your control, such as being sick, stuck in traffic, etc., we will do our best to accommodate you as we understand things happen.

However, if this situation arises again a $50 pre-payment will be required to secure any further appointments. This pre-payment is a credit towards your account, and it will be applied to your invoice at your appointment. If you do not attend your appointment or cancel with less than 48 hours’ notice, this pre-payment will be forfeited.

LATE ARRIVALS – We value your time and attempt to always run to time for the benefit of all patients. If you are aware in advance that you may be late to your appointment, please notify us as soon as you can. We may be able to reorganise our day so as not to inconvenience other patients.
Where this is not possible, we may need to limit your treatment to the amount of time remaining or reschedule your appointment. In case of rescheduling, the above-mentioned pre-payment may be required. If we run late, please be reassured that the quality of care that was offered to the patient that caused us to run late will also be offered to you, we will not compromise your care.

PRE-PAYMENTS FOR APPOINTMENTS – For appointments of 60 minutes or more, or for those involving complex procedures (such as full mouth rehabilitation, implants, or All-on-X), we ask for a deposit to secure your dedicated clinical time and cover the costs of advanced, custom-made materials. This payment is not an additional fee but a credit applied directly to your final treatment invoice. We kindly request a minimum of 48 hours’ notice if you need to reschedule. In the event of an appointment being cancelled with less notice or not being attended, a portion of your deposit may be forfeited to cover the non-refundable costs of materials, surgical guides, lab work, and other items prepared specifically for you.

RESCHEDULING/CANCELLING AN APPOINTMENT – If you do need to reschedule or cancel your appointment, please call our practice on Monday to Friday between 8:30am and 5:00pm. Please note that rescheduling or cancelling appointments can only be done via phone or in practice.

MOBILE PHONES – We ask that your mobile phone remains switched off or on silent at all times whilst in the treatment rooms.

FOOTWEAR – This is a surgical environment and as such Health and Safety Regulations require footwear to be worn at all times within our practice.

CONSENT – All contact information provided may be used to reach you in regards to treatment and appointments.

REFERRALS – Referring a friend or family to a dentist is the highest compliment you can give. If you are happy with the service we provided, please tell your family and friends. If you are unhappy with your treatment, please tell us.
