When we first met Jo, she was experiencing pain from ill-fitting dentures and suffering from a loss of oral function. Dr Sergi Miralles worked with Joanne on her complete oral rehabilitation journey and delivered a life-changing result.

Initial consultation

Upon seeing Jo for her initial consultation, she was suffering from constant ulcers caused by her existing full upper and lower partial dentures. She was hoping to achieve an implant-supported fixed prosthesis.

A comprehensive consultation was conducted, and a 3D Digital Smile Simulation was produced to show Jo what the final outcome could look like.  All implant-supported restorative options were discussed so that Jo could decide on the treatment option that best suited her needs and budget. The process for Jo’s new smile then began with the treatment planning process.

Treatment

Treatment began with the removal of all remaining teeth on the lower jaw. Then six upper implants and five lower implants were placed to support full arch tooth replacement, known as ‘All-on-X’.

The implants were immediately loaded, allowing Jo to eat, smile, and function normally within 24 hours following surgery.

These temporary teeth remained in place for the coming months as we allowed time for healing and implant integration.
