Meet Patrick
Patrick had been wearing an upper denture since the age of 14. While he experienced no physical pain, the emotional impact was significant, leaving him reluctant to smile. Together with Dr Sergi Miralles, they began the treatment journey to restore Patrick’s oral health and function.
Consultation & Treatment
Initial consultation
When Patrick attended his initial comprehensive consultation at Dental Implants & Aesthetics, he expressed a strong desire for a permanent solution to finally move on from his dentures. He had been living with advanced periodontal (gum) disease, and many of his remaining teeth were loose and unsalvageable.
During this consultation, Dr Sergi Miralles carefully addressed all of Patrick’s questions and concerns, taking the time to explain his treatment options, outline the proposed timeline, and provide clarity around costs.
Patrick’s treatment began with extractions of the periodontally affected (loose) upper teeth. 6 dental implants were then placed in the upper jaw, initially keeping two upper molars (back teeth) to keep natural posterior biting support.
The implants were immediately loaded, within 24 hours following surgery.

Final Prosthesis
After several months of healing and successful implant osseointegration, the final restoration for the upper jaw was a zirconia (porcelain) implant bridge supported by a titanium framework.
For the lower jaw, a custom partial denture was fabricated, complemented by a series of aesthetic composite restorations on the lower anterior teeth to enhance both function and appearance.
