At Dental Implants and Aesthetics, our team strives to provide treatment which will make our patients healthier and happier.

While creating a healthy and functional smile our dentists place emphasis on natural aesthetics. We believe smiles should complement a patients’ facial features, age and personality. This means, once you have had treatment with us, you will simply appear rejuvenated.

We don’t want our patients to think their treatment will make their smile appear different or foreign. A smile makeover or full mouth rehabilitation should not change but improve the natural aesthetics of our patients. We want our patients to have a smile that suits them, while being enhanced in terms of health and beauty.

In many cases, we will try to preserve your natural dentition if it is a possibility. Your dentist will try teaching you how to prevent dental diseases and will choose minimally invasive procedures whenever possible.

Thanks to the use of advanced dental technologies, combined with our knowledge and experience, we aim to preserve what is most valuable – your teeth!

Aesthetic vs Cosmetic Dentistry

Cosmetic dentistry is a commonly used term in Australia. Most dentists nowadays offer cosmetic dental services such as veneers, dental crowns, teeth whitening or dental implants.

When our principals Dr Franck Page and Prof Vasilios Chronopoulos established Dental Implants and Aesthetics, they chose the name with purpose.

The word ‘aesthetic’ is derived from the Greek word αἰσθητικός which means “aesthetic, sensitive, sentient, pertaining to sense perception”. The term connects the sense of beauty but also relates to nature. Our principals want to achieve outcomes for our patients which are both natural and beautiful.

Your treatment process at Dental Implants and Aesthetics will include looking at photos of your smile when you were younger. We do this because it gives us an idea of the changes that have occurred to your smile over time. You can also show our team photos of smiles you like to give us a better picture of your goals and wishes. It is important for us to know what you would like to achieve regarding your smile.

The term ‘cosmetic’, however, originates from the Greek word “κόσμημα” which means jewel or ornament. By definition cosmetic is something artificial. Our objective is to design a smile that does not look like you have had a makeover. We work in the boundaries of nature which means we don’t use overly white shades in our restorations unless requested by you.

When our patients leave our practice, we want them to feel confident and beautiful. What’s more, their new smile appears so natural it is as if it was theirs all along.
