Dr Franck Page presents at VOGUE

November 13, 2018

On the 27th October 2018, Dr franck Page and the Dental Implants & Aesthetics team were once again invited to speak at the biennial Vogue Beauty event.

As a dentist with special interest for aesthetic restorations, Dr Franck Page presented his cases and showed how digital dentistry has become invaluable in designing his patients’ smiles.

Giveaways

Before the presentations began at Palazzo Versace Gold Coast, Dr Franck Page and his team gave away free dental gift bags to the attendees. Inside the bags was a whitening tray, an Oral B 2-step whitening toothpaste, toothbrush, lip balm and a pocket mirror – for all your smile needs.

This year, Dental Implants & Aesthetics used the new 3Shape TRIOS® Intraoral Scanner which creates a 3d scan of a patient’s mouth. This allows your dentists to skip the stage of taking material impressions of teeth.

After the scan, the patient can see a wax model visual of the result, and from here they can tailor the smile to their preference. This works for treatments such as crowns, veneers, dental implant placements and splints.

Presentations

During his presentation, Dr Franck Page showed the Vogue audience how ‘imperfect’ teeth can be aesthetic. Regarding a person’s facial features, Dr Franck Page suggested “if you look at the whole picture, for us it is important that the patient ends up with a result that is not cosmetic but aesthetic and matches the overall appearance”. Meaning, although their teeth are not necessarily perfect, there is beauty in the imperfections of their teeth.

At Dental Implants & Aesthetics, we believe aesthetic is about mimicking nature and that is what we aim to do every day. When a patient finishes their treatment, we want it to look as though no work occurred in the first place. Friends and family will notice the difference, but to anyone else their smile will look completely natural.

Comparing current and past dentistry, Dr Page acclaims “we now have the final result before we have even started” and patients know exactly what they are going to like. Before our current technology “you use to go to the dentist and there would be this big reveal and the mirror would come up” says Dr Page. No longer do our patients have to wait until the end of treatment to see results.

At the end of his presentation, Dr Franck Page wanted to highlight that anything is possible. There are individuals who embrace their dental quirks such as Georgia May Jagger and Tom Cruise and look great!

We would like to thank DentaVision for sponsoring us at this remarkable event.
