Meet Trevor
When Professor Vasilios Chronopoulos first met Trevor, he was experiencing significant challenges with oral function. Minimal teeth remained in the molar region (back teeth), which is essential for effective chewing and maintaining a balanced bite.
Trevor was looking for a treatment solution to restore his oral function and improve his quality of life.
Step One
Before:
When we initially saw Trevor, he had significant tooth loss in the molar region. The loss of these posterior teeth meant that the remaining teeth had to absorb more pressure than they were designed for. Additionally, severe erosion was a pressing issue (notably on the front teeth), causing sensitivity and leading to further structural damage. This made Trevor’s teeth more vulnerable to decay and affected the appearance of his smile.
Step Two
Mock-up phase:
Following two months of adjunctive physical splint therapy, a mock-up of Trevor’s new smile was successfully designed and implemented in the appropriate functional position.
Step Three
Crown Lengthening:
A specialist Periodontist completed crown lengthening on the front four anterior teeth. The procedure is designed to expose more of a tooth’s structure by reshaping or removing gum tissue with careful surgical techniques, promoting healing and ensuring the tooth is adequately prepared for further treatment.
Step Four
We removed all the teeth that unfortunately could not be saved due to deterioration and heavy decay. Dr. Franck Page placed several implants in the posterior regions for functional and aesthetic reasons.
Step Five
The final restorative outcome for Trevor’s full-mouth rehabilitation was achieved with a mixture of Zirconia crowns and implant-supported crowns on all the upper teeth. E-max porcelain veneers and ¾ crowns were placed on the lower ten teeth, and implant-supported crowns were placed in the lower molar region for the lower arch.
Finals
Trevor received a smile that perfectly complemented his natural facial features; restoring function and improving the overall aesthetics of his smile.
This transformation has completely transformed Trevor’s confidence and quality of life.
