What is Invisalign Go? Invisalign Go is an orthodontic treatment that utilises custom-made, clear aligner trays to help you straighten your teeth (1). The trays are virtually invisible and are an alternative treatment to traditional metal braces!

 

How Does Invisalign Go work?

Invisalign Go helps straighten misaligned teeth over a period of time to re-align tooth position. It involves wearing a series of clear trays for 20 – 22 hours each day. Each tray is designed to gradually straighten your teeth.

 

‘Invisalign Go’ treatment is generally completed in a shorter timeframe than a full course of Invisalign treatment. It revolves around treating minor orthodontic issues, which may not require as much movement to your teeth.

During your first consultation, your dentist will explain the treatment to ensure you understand what to expect. Following this, your dentist will use an intraoral scanner to create a digital impression of your teeth. This will enable Invisalign to view and record the structure of your teeth and provide a 3D render of how your teeth may look at the end of your treatment. Once you are happy with the treatment plan/design, the scans are used to create your custom aligner trays.

Once fitted, these aligners are to be worn for 20 – 22 hours daily.
