In Australia, researching costs for dental treatments online can be frustrating. This is why we decided to have a price guide on our website to give patients a rough idea of what to expect.
As most dental treatments are complex procedures and very case-dependent, the prices for treatments may differ from patient to patient. After your consultation, your dentist will be able to give you a detailed quote for your case and treatment.
$100-$3,000 — Non-complicated dental treatments such as single or multiple composite restorations, root canal treatments, or single tooth aesthetic or dental implant cases.
$3,000-$10,000 — Cases including veneers, crowns, or single dental implant restorations.
$10,000-$25,000 — Complex cases that require several dental implants, bone grafting, multiple complicated restorations, or smile makeovers.
$25,000+ — Full mouth rehabilitation cases with several healing times and multiple visits over an extended period of time.
Treatment is usually completed on the same day.
Treatment can be completed within 10 working days.
Treatment requires healing time and post-operative follow-up appointments, multiple visits are required
Complex surgical and restorative treatments that involve several implants, require multiple appointments, prolonged healing times, and an extended treatment time frame.
During your first consultation appointment, your dentist will take a number of digital images and analyse your situation. Depending on the thickness of your jaw bone, you may need a bone graft and provisionalization before proceeding with your dental implant treatment.
At the end of the consultation, you will get a detailed quote from our team for your case. In general, the price for a finished dental implant including a dental crown restoration at our practice starts from $5,500.
The average cost of dental implants, which includes the placement of a dental fixture (implant) is around $2,000-$3,000. This figure is for the surgical treatment only.
Following the healing period, usually 3-6 months, an abutment and a crown are placed and attached to the fixture. This process, which involves several visits, will usually cost around $3,500. This brings the average total cost per tooth to around $5,500-$6,500.
Dental implants, veneers, dental crowns, and bridges are usually covered under the major dental category of private health funds. Once you receive the detailed quote from our team including item numbers, you will be able to check with your health fund how much you can claim with your policy and how much you will have to contribute to cover the cost of the treatment.
At Dental Implants and Aesthetics, we offer three different interest-free payment plan options. Two options are provided by Zip including Zip Pay and Zip Money. Another option for treatments below $9,000 is Afterpay.
Find out more about our payment plan options on our payment plans page.
There has been a growing trend of Australians flying overseas for more complex dental procedures. However, the outcome can
be a hit or miss. This may result in a disappointing outcome, ongoing pain and, in the worst case, another treatment in Australia to fix the underlying issues.
In Australia, dental care is highly regulated which leads to a high quality of care. Patients are not only protected by state but also by federal laws and can rely on strict procedures in case that something goes wrong with their treatment.
At Dental Implants and Aesthetics, we use implant components from different well-established companies including Southern Implants Australia and Nobel Biocare Australia. We established our own dental laboratory which we use to manufacture the restorations. This means, all restorations we use are Australian-made and tailored to suit our patients’ needs.
A dental visit overseas may not fulfill these high standards of care. In addition, our practice values after-care and follow-up appointments because our team always tries to achieve long-lasting results for our patients.
We offer a warranty of 10 years on all our dental implants. To make use of this warranty, it is important that you attend your regular routine check-ups and follow the aftercare and maintenance advice you will receive from our team after your treatment.
